Juried by Lisa Volpe
Re/member/construct refers to the quality of a photograph to simultaneously stop time and infuse form, construct memory, and fuel nostalgia. It is about both archive and fabrication, index and icon, an open testament to the way a photograph functions in our contemporary world as both a document and a storyteller.
For this call for work, Lisa Volpe, Associate Curator, Photography at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will consider all types of photo-based imagery that explores the photographic possibilities of Re/member/construct.
Artists selected for the exhibition will be included in Filter Photo’s inaugural publication, Re/member/construct which will include an extended portfolio of the Juror’s Choice winner. Artists will receive a complimentary copy of the publication.
